Why clear glass?
We prefer transparency. Literally.
Studies show UVA light is the culprit in aging olive oil. Your car windshield is perfectly clear, but treated with UV inhibitors and blocks nearly all UV.
Unfortunately, it's not feasible to treat bottles with UV inhibitors, so protection comes from proper storage and a large label that literally shields your olive oil.
We choose clear glass because it lets you see the color of your olive oil, one of the best indicators of freshness and age. Green glass isn't bad, but it is a good way to hide bad oil.
Best of all, we keep your olive oil in the dark, all the way to your doorstep. That's much better than a green bottle on a store shelf ;)
