Why clear glass?
We prefer transparency. Literally and figuratively.
We choose clear glass. Visible color does not block UV light. A windshield is perfectly clear and still blocks up to 99 percent of UV. Dark glass is not the barrier.
Protection comes from proper storage and from blocking light where it counts, which is why we use a large label to shield the oil.
Most importantly, clear glass lets you see the color of your olive oil, one of the best indicators of freshness and age.
Dark glass isn't bad, but it is a good way to hide bad oil.
